Less than truckload transportation (LTL transport)
LTL (less-than-truckload) transportation is a popular logistics option when smaller consignment volumes need to be transported flexibly and as cost-effectively as possible. Full truckload transportation (FTL transport)
FTL transports (full truckload) or complete loads are always referred to when the delivery is complete and indivisible and is not changed during transportation. The load is neither mixed with other goods (intermixing) nor is the freight divided up for transportation. Full truck loads have logistical advantages, such as less logistical planning due to the reduced complexity of the transport. FTL transports are particularly suitable for companies that need to transport a large quantity of goods and thus take up the entire cargo space of the truck.
